This past season has been a delight; the choir is growing and sounding better than ever. It is our hope to broaden the horizons and spread the beauty of choral music throughout the tri-state area. We still need more males to step up and sing. It’s never too late to join!

For the 2009/2010 school year The Sands choir will begin rehearsal starting Sept 9th at 3:45-4:30 in room #402. This Season the choir will perform at the Haunted Schoolhouse, International Night, a Cyclones hockey game and the Winter Concert during the 1st semester of school.

During the Second Semester we will perform at the Black History program, community outreach within the Mt. Washington community, and the Spring Concert, Talent show soloist, along with anything else that may come up during the season. We are prepared to sing anywhere anytime!

Ensemble/Rehearsal: Students will learn healthy vocal techniques, musicianship skills, note reading/theory and are encouraged to remain for the entire season. Making a commitment and maintaining that will build character and strong skills for future development. It will also transfer to other areas of development.

Choir is open to all students in grades 1-6. No preparation is required. You may contact the music office with any questions by calling 363-5036. Please read the rehearsal schedule and sign the permission form. Rehearsals will begin Sept 6th at 3:45 in room 402.

November: 4th, 11th, 18th,
December: 2nd, 9th, 16th Winter Concert Dec, 17th @ 10am 2pm & 7pm.
January: 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th,
February: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, Feb 25th Black History program 10am & 2pm
March: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 31st
April: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th,
May; 5th May 6th: Spring Concert May 7th @ 10am, 2pm & 7pm.
