Help out at the at the Sands Community Carnival for 3 hours or more and you will get a lovely Sands Travel mug and free Luckman coffee all day! But wait! There’s more…Be a Super Volunteer and you will also receive $5 of tickets to be used towards food or games!

Hike*Bike*Run*For*Fun:

Come out and join us with family and friends for some exercise before the Carnival.  You may choose to walk, run or bike the course.  Each child is encouraged to participate and will receive a medal after crossing the finish line.  Classrooms will be divided into 4 teams based on the K-6th Specials Schedule.  Teams with the highest participation in the event will win a SPECIAL GYM DAY.  This fun period will include the use of the Bouncy Houses!  Preschoolers will have their own separate special event.  Look for sign ups to come home via backpack or go here to print out a form.  Cost is $5 for an individual and $10 for a family (includes up to 5 total participants) until October 6th.  After this date registration increases to $10 for an individual and $15 for a family.  We will stagger start times every 10 minutes between 10:00 and 11:00.

Carnival Highlights

Food: Luckman Coffee, East Coast Ices, Ramundos Pizza, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Veggie Snack packs, grilled burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, baked goods, soft drinks, hot chocolate...

Games: Some old; some new.  Sponge Bob Cornhole, Root Beer Slide, Dino Dig, Lollipop Pull, Poster Dart, Cake Walk, Tic Tac Toe, Duck Pond, Penguin Throw, Ring Pop Toss, Feed the Elephant and so much more!  Something for all ages.

Activities: Crafts sponsored by Mt. Washington Educational Arts Center.  Face Painting, Bounce House, Inflatable Obstacle Course and Dunking Booth--who will you dunk this year?

Tickets are $1 each or $5 for 6.  The classroom that sells the most tickets will win a pizza party!  Don’t forget to ask relatives, friends and neighbors.  The winning ticket will be drawn at 3:30 on October 9th.  The winner does not need to be present to win.  Split the Pot tickets can be downloaded now » or found in the office.

We are still looking for Cake Bakers!
Bake a cake, or two, for the Carnival Cake Walk Game.  Cakes need to be delivered to school on Friday, October 8th.  You or your student can drop them off at the cake table in front of the office. Please place cakes in covered disposable containers!

Have a Birthday to Celebrate?
Why not celebrate with us at the Carnival?  Reservations include a table for the Birthday Child and guests for the celebration.  Who knows?  Someone might win a cake at the Cake Walk.  Plan ahead by pre-ordering tickets for all your guests.

Carnival T-Shirts
This year our shirts will be red with white lettering.  The design includes our Eagle with 'peace decor.'  Be sure to look for order forms coming home in backpacks or Download the T-Shirt order form now » The t-shirts will have the 'Team Sands' logo at the top.
